Become a California Teacher

If you want to become a teacher in California, you have your work cut out for you. People who want to become elementary school teachers must earn a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. You can do this by going through a college or university program, an internship at a school, either within a district or separately, or from experience teaching at a private school. Other options include paths through early completion and the Peace Corps.
